I've examined a couple of monster cards from the base game today, regarding their correct conversion to the TS7 rules and in the process, stumbled across these two tricky fellows here:
Darkness (Doomknight, Humanoid) - "Unequipped Heroes cannot attack"
Haunt (Undead, Spirit) - "BATTLE: One Hero cannot attack"
The Thunderstone "Print and Play"-document translates those two traits/effects into:
Darkness (Doomknight, Humanoid, Level 2) - "
Ignore unequipped heroes"
Haunt - (Undead, Spirit, Level 2) - "BATTLE:
Ignore 1 hero."
So I then searched the TS7-rulebook for an explanation of the "Ignore" keyword, but there's absolutely no definition or reference there!
Am I missing something? Or can this information be found in some other document, maybe? If not, the obvious questions would be:
1) What exactly does the "
Ignore"-keyword translate to under TS7-rules? Does it reduce
1.1) Physical Attack and Magic Attack values of the hero(es) to 0?
As this would effectively be the same as "immune to [sth.]", I can't really imagine this being right...
1.2) Physical Attack, Magic Attack and Light values of the hero(es) to 0?
1.3) Physical Attack, Magic Attack and Light values of the hero(es) as well as all attack and/or light values from an equipped weapon of that hero to 0 (this would of course only apply to the "ignore a hero" effect)?
2) Would "Ignore" even cancel all other traits a hero might have and prevent him from using/activating his dungeon effects?
The funny thing is that in the old rules, the respective entries in the card glossary slightly differ, at least with regards to light:
Darkness: Heroes without a Weapon equipped have an Attack Bonus of 0, but are still affected by Battle effects.
No mention of light at all, so this sounds a little bit to me as if only the Attack values would be affected (as in "
immune to equipped heroes")...
Haunt: All Light, Attack, and Magic Attack of that Hero (and equipped Weapon) are reduced to 0.
...while this clearly says that basically NOTHING of the chosen hero can contribute to the party anymore.
So that leads me to the final question:
3) Is "ignore" as a trait (as in the case of the "Darkness" monster) in any way different from "ignore" as a battle effect (as in the case of the "Haunt")?
Thanks a lot in advance for your opinions (or maybe even official clarifications?)!
